I can't say specifically which, but given my experience with the results of my A40 I am considering replacing it with an A80. The pictures in most conditions have always resulted in good shots. The camera feels substantial, and one thing I always look for is the use of AAs batteries. You can buy them anywhere and use them in anything. I recently bought a charger which does a full set of NIMH in 30 minutes. I don't like proprietory batteries, as they are expensive, you always need to remember to charge the battery before a day out and have a charger available if you're going away for a long time. My A40 would take hundreds of pictures on a single set of batteries. I have had experience with a Canon A70, and one complaint was the lag time taking pictures once you pressed the button - it may have been addressed in the A80.

If you search PBASE for camera type, you should be able to see the results of the different cameras.

Just my 2 cents worth.
