Tripod and Cable Release

Post Wed Feb 04, 2004 4:12 pm

Setting up for an long exposure night shot using my Olympus C4040Z, it is obvious I will use a tripod, but here is my question:

This model camera isn't designed to incorporate a cable release as far as I know. Is there something I am missing, or are my thoughts right in that I just need to have a steady finger?

Is there an infra-red trigger?

A work around is to use the self timer.

Ah yes! The self timer would work great for what I'm after.

Thanks!
