I'm glad I didn't buy my D100 recently or I would have been bummed! Along with the 300D its gonna be a breakthrough DSLR for the masses.

I'm impressed also. I'll wait for a few to tell us what it is missing over the D100 but sounds like I may have found me a next camera.

BTW did you also notice the 8700, 8MP + 2.5FPS, if they fix up the low light focusing of the 5700 and don't have the noise of the Sony 828 it may be really interesting as a nice point and shoot camera.
