Probably no one of us has used more than one or two of these cameras and if you get a "Buy this one!" it's going to be the one that the poster bought.

My basic preferences are Compact Flash, because it isn't so compact, and standard batteries for my reasons in the above forum. I also generally tend to buy cameras based on the history of the company, i.e. Canon, Nikon, Minolta have always been renowned for cameras. If you choose a Sony you'll be limited to Sony when reusing the memory and the batteries.
