New here, question about technical info.

I really didnt know where to post this, so i guess ill just post it here.Image

I have been using my digital camera (Olympus C-720) for about a year now and have really got the hang of using it for taking general pictures. I am trying to find some internet sites to learn about taking pictures, beyond beginners information. Specifically how to manualy adjust all the camera options to get the most out of my pictures. For example; ISO, sharpness, contrast, etc. I am also thinking about upgrading to a better camera like the Sony F717, i got a chance to play with it in the store and i really liked it.

AUTO is alright, but i think i am ready to step it up a notch. My real passion is working on cars, i also like taking pictures of them as well.

This site looks like it has a lot of GREAT photographers, but i dont see too much technical information being discussed. Does anybody know of any good internet sites where i can get the required information to start taking great pictures. Thanks for any help :)

And being this is show and tell.... here is my mustang Image

Please forgive me for not having my car in some pretty scenery, but i am in Korea right now (military) and i had my dad take the pictureImage

I learned a ton of technical info and shooting skills from the Minolta forum at http://www.dpreview.com. A few people that frequented the forum loved to teach. Maybe if you check the oly forum there you may find some of the information you are looking for. The threads are very deep and the number of members are very high. There are many other good sites to learn from as well. This one is very popular with people advancing there skills. http://www.luminous-landscape.com/

Hope you find something of value at those sites and good luck.

Cheers

BTW, I think the 717/828 are excellent cameras for a person in your situation.
