My first digital was an Oly C2020. I really liked the pictures that it took but the viewfinder drove me crazy when using add-on lenses or taking closeups (macros).
That's a general comment on all non-TTL (Through the Lens Viewfinder) cameras. If a compact "peek hole" camera doesn't bother you, then disregard this complaint.
You might look on
http://www.dpreview.com. Check the top left for 'Cameras' and follow the links to the C4000. I don't believe that Phil did a full review but you can make some good generalizations from its brothers and sisters. There should also be some user comments.
Also visit the Olympus Talk forum and do a C4000 search to see what users have posted there.
