Hi,

I'm looking for software that can creatie one picture using a large number of photos. In a way that in the resulting photo if you zoom in you'll still see the original photos. Hope i'm clear enough describing what i'm looking for. I've had something like this a few years ago but lost it.

If anyone can help,

Victor

Hi nuggie

As a new forum member, you'll excuse this late reply to your query.

For making collages, which I think you mean, try

http://www.FxFoto.com

I use it, and find it ok.

Unfortunately, the free trial version does not allow you to save any collages, you need to purchase at least the standard version.

Polyview will do this

Polyview does this easily. It allows you to create a thumbnail contact sheet jpeg of all the images you wish . You can then burn it to your CD along with your orginals and have index of that cd on one jpeg.

good luck

hrm. I think the original poster is asking for a software that can manipulate a large number of pictures into a single larger picture. Something like a quilt.

found this by searching Google for Photo+Quilt.

here's 1 of their examples...

Well, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want. But Centarsia is for creating photo mosaics. The resolution can be as high as you want and the final image can be made to look like another picture (all the little pictures will be ordered to look like another photo when you "zoom out".) Plus it's free (postcardware anyway, can't argue with that :) .)

I am thinking you want to create a Mosaic picture from many small images. At this URL, they have a comparison chart of this type of software. Ranges all the way from FREE to $$$. I found the chart really helpful to compare features.

Hope this helps you find what you want.--Rene
