Are you'all PS ect? I use GIMP on linux and am searching around for a way to batch watermarks. I have a plug-in that will do individual images but want to automate the process. Failing that is there an alternative batch processor to do watermarks under linux?

I personally found GIMP even less intuitive than photoshop....................... All my reading suggests imagemagick is the best option.

Yep I've used it...just occasionally. I truly wished it was a bit more user friendly...Linux needs a really good photo editor. It has gotten better...I'm not sure but think there's a RAW converter or 2 ( RAW Threapee? ) which works pretty good in Linux too. Sometimes have been tempted to leave this world dominated by Adobe and MS well and guess Apple now too again..am setting up a dual boot machine when the time presents itself...then might use the Gimp more. Have used both the windows and Linux versions...and maybe all it really takes is getting really used to it.

Yes there are a number of RAW converters. Some are integrated to GIMP but most are stand alone. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to batch process images to place a watermark on them. Not having much luck. I'm also not any form of script kiddie so it has to be fairly straight forward. Command line or GUI accepted.

No I wanted to look at it this weekend..
At first glance this doesn't look user friendly at all.
I'm intrigued by Phatch though...
