Paint Shop Pro X1 with Nikon D40x RAW

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know how to open Nikon RAW files (Nikon NEF's) with PSP X1. I have heard that this can be done...

Most of the Nikon fakes involve changing the ID string in the file to say the file is from another Nikon.

Another way is to download the converter from Adobe and do a convert to DNG then see if PSP supports that version of DNG.

Thanks for the tip: have used the converter but the get a blue ting through the images... might try option 2.

Have you tried updating the software? I updated my PSP X2 software and all of a sudden it was reading the .NEF files from my DX40. I don't know if X1 was updated but the extra 60 bucks for X2 was worth it.
