Raw editing for beginners

Post Sun Jun 08, 2008 5:08 pm

I could use some help in starting to edit RAW.
I have Digital Photo Professional.
What is the basic workflow?
Any help would be appreciated in pointing me in the right direction.

Hi Brian,
You can also download a users manual, and the latest version of DPP here: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=139&modelid=11154#DownloadDetailAct

If you have an older version, the new one is much improved, and well worth updating. And, of course, it's free.

Chuckle... do like I do and blame in senility! :P
Kidding aside, the newest version does a really nice job. Try shooting RAW + jpg until you get the hang of it, and you're covered.
