Well, I have recently spent big bucks upgrading from the canon 350D to the Canon 40D. I also purchased the Canon EF-S 17-55 F/2.8 IS lens. I was so excited all week to go out and shoot. I was up very early to get out the door and shoot only to be faced by a problem.
When I came home I put my CF card in the reader, the photoshop download thingy came up and I could see all my pictures. They are than downloaded to the folder of my choosen. After the downloan they attempt to import into the organizer. At which time I get a message saying they are either damaged or not supported. When I try to open them in the editor I get the same message.
I should be clear. I shoot in RAW. The photos are CR2 just like my old 350D. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0. Is this a old version of photoshop problem? or is this a problem with my computer or camera?
If elements 4 could open my old CR2 files shouldn't it be able to open my new CR2 files?
Any help would be appreciated as many gigs of photos were taken today.
I appreciate any help--big time!
