Illustrator?

Photoshop has a "companion" software program called Illustrator. What does this software do that Photoshop does not do?

At it's most basic, Photoshop is for photographs what Illustrator is for graphic design. A simple search on google for 'photoshop illustrator differences' will expand the answer.
