I just bought Photoshop cs3 and am looking for a good book that could give me some guidance in learning the ins and outs of the program.

I've used PS Elements 4 so am familiar with some of the basic concepts of Photoshop.

If you have some recommendations, I'd appreciate it.

thanks,
Rob

I'm more or less a newbie myself in Photoshop but have taken courses
recently and am working on it. In my gallery for my experiments, I have
a listing of free tutorials from around the Net though most of the ones
I chose are for CS2 but they'd still work for CS3 and the links lead you
to CS3 areas also, in those free places.

As for books, the one I recommend most from looking in bookstores
for the ones that make most sense for me (step by step and coherent
writing) is the one by Colin Smith.

I've listed, also, books that have received good ratings by users, at
