Photoshop elements 5 - Adobe camera raw 4.0/1 - help please

I have just downloaded the camera raw 4.0 update (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3605) and am using it in Elements 5. It has new slider controls ('recovery', 'fill light' and 'vibrance'). Playing about with them, it's clear that they add a lot to what is possible with this raw converter. But, I have only the haziest understanding of what's going on!

I'd be very grateful if you could post some links to sites that explain how best to use those controls with the older ones.

Edited 19 May; answering my own question, I've found this for 'recovery' and 'fill light':

and this for 'vibrance'

You may want to get version 4.1 as this adds a "clarity" slider" and a improved sharpening tool to Elements Raw converter.

This is for CS3 but it is basicly the same :)

Thank you Paul. The effect of the 'clarity' slider seems quite subtle; are you able to explain what it does (or point me to a site that can help), please?

Cheers!
