is my colour calibration right

Post Fri Mar 30, 2007 9:24 pm

i recently calibrated my monitor using adobe gamma. i found a significant change in colours. the usual background colour of PBase, found in most galleries, changed from gray to brownish gray(a warm shade of gray). can somebody with calibrated monitor please tell me if the gray is supposed to have a tinge of brown.
thanks in advance,
bZ

I just looked at all the photos you have posted on pbase and I think your colors are way off. You would probably have much better luck if you had some photos.

i don't think you got my question. all i want to know is whether the background colour in pbase.com (http://www.pbase.com/image/71632052) is blueish gray or reddish/brownish gray. just check the above link. ignore the image and let me know what colour the page background looks like.

i just want to know if my calibration is right. before calibration it was gray but, now its red/brownish gray

Looks ok to me, but who knows? Why don't you look at photos of
faces and see if that's what you want in flesh tones. Look at various types
of skies.

Go to http://epaperpress.com/monitorcal/index.html to see if the
basic things show up right after all your changes...
