Restoring a jpeg thats been edited accidently

this might be strange question

a jpg of mine got edited accidently, with the edition of some black smudges - just 1 colour in a few places. this was then saved. i thought the image was doomed, but when i view the thumbnail, i can still see the original, unspoilt image. this happens even when i copy the image to another computer, so its not just what is saved in the thumbnail file.

any idea whats going on? can i restore my jpg to its previous version? is the original image hiding under the black somehow?

Hi,
If your picture comes from a memory card, you can try to recover this original picture even if you have moved into your computer...
use digital picture recovery or digital image recovery

Hope you have not writing on the top of this card!
