I use "batch rename" to give my photos names out from the time taken info. But if I have made any changes in the editor to the photo prior to the renaming, the date that the rename tool uses as its source will change to "last modified" instead of the original shot date.
As I see it, there could be to solutions to this. Either getting the rename tool to use the information from the Image section of the Properties instead of the Camera section
or
getting the editor to NOT change the particular date in the Properties' Camera section.
I haven't had any luck with either
