All Adobe products snare up your computer. They are memory hungry and the company doesn't seem to care about resolving the problem.
I use PS Elements 4 not because I like it but because PS is the professional industry standard and I feel I should know how to work PS like the professionals.
But the software is time consuming and slow.
Some of the features, like vraible unsharp mask, are important, but these features can be obtained elsewhere too.
It is worth trying, but be aware that it will sap your computer.
