:? well I'm not really sure but I would maybe try and check out a firmware upgrade from Canon first. It just so happens that i was checking out a firmware upgrade on my 20d and noticed they have an issue with the 430x and 20d talking to each other. So...hope that helped and either way, I myself, would either live with it or figure something else out but, I'd be damned if I would pay Adobe another $39.00 MUCH LESS $159.00 FOR A YEAR OF TECH SUPPORT. You can find all the support you need here or MANY other photo sites. Hopefully, you also didn't pay full price for your CS2 since there are so many aftermarket distributors selling full versions of CS2 FOR CHEAP! (like maybe $39 or $49) except your not getting their "pretty box" and the tech support.
and by the sounds of it your not getting their 'support' anyway !!!
Good Luck!!

I'm not sure if this helps, but if you use the Save for Web feature in CS2 you lose all your EXIF data.
