Slide show/Portfolio-What software should I use?

I would like to make a portfolio on a cd that I can hand out to galleries. I think a simple slide show with dissolves...or even just the image on a black background with titles.

What should I use to do this? Powerpoint? Iphoto? Flash? Would it be user friendly for the people who open it?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You could use Pictures2exe or Magix Photos on cd/dvd.

These software make very fine slideshows. Keep in mind that it takes time to learn, especially if you use special effects and/or background music. If using music, beware of violation of copyright/royalties.

Regard,

I use IDVD on the Mac, but have not looked at other products. This sofware comes for free on a MAC, and it "works for me".
