I have had a GX for some years and have always lamented the positioning of the carry strap clips close to and at the rear of the viewfinder lid. I note the FX has reverted to the older style side fittings. Does anyone have any experience of substituting the GX fittings, which were inherited from the Rolliecord, for the newer and better (?) fittings from the FX.
Further will the strap clips that came with the GX fit the newer FX side fittings.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I would think a qualified Rollei Technician could make this change, and I'm sure this would be expensive! I have the same strap as yours on a GX, which I think is the earlier model.

Yes thankyou for your reply. I did in fact contact a Rollei Technician some months ago but he never came back to me with a reply - probably the cost was embarrassing for him - and me!
