Konko teleplus pro 300 2x with nikon 70-200 2.8 afs vr?

I own a nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 afs VR lense and want to use a kenko teleplus pro 300 2x converter with this lens.
would the VR of the lens funktion with this teleconverter or do I have to buy the twice as expensive nikon teleconverter?
