Hi,
I have a Minolta Dynax 4 with a 28-80 lens for a year now and I was considering a new 50mm AF prime lens for it. The problem is that I don't know which brands of lenses would fit my camera. Sigma, Tamron... or others?
Also could you recommend me a good 50mm lens for under let's say 120$?

Thanks a lot

Smart decision, you can get a brand new Minolta 50mm f/1.7 for less than $80 bucks from any of the reputable online stores like Adorama or B&H. Another excellent choice is KEH.com. They have a ton of used Minolta gear and are known for understating the condition of there gear. Basically, you can be assured of getting a good product if they rate it bargain or better. They also offer a return policy. They currently have several of the above mentioned lens listed starting of $43 and going up. Since 50mm are so cheap I'd stick with a Minolta lens.

Phoenix, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, and Vivitar all make lenses for Minolta Maxxum cameras.

I have use both Sigma and Tamron with great results.

You can use the B&H online store to browse the differnet lenses: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
