I recently purchased an Epson 3170 scanner to scan in my medium format prints. I haven't used it yet and loking for any tips or gottchas.

Its actually very good think. I used it more than month.
Even film divided by 6 shots in one slice it scan very well. Only one thing in not nice - inserting film in special pocket for scanning not comfortable if film a little bit bended.
Now i would rather prerer to buy 3200.
