I am looking to purchase a large format scanner for 11" x 17" images. Any recommendations?

I recommend that you call or visit Image Access at their website http://www.imageaccess.com for more information on truly innovative large format scanners. Specifically, you might be interested in the WideTEK A3 which you can read about here:

The Epson 10000XL is 3500.00....don't even consider any other manufacturer unless that's too pricey.
