Clean glass and cover of my scanner

I do have a scanner, but it's gotten all dusty inside, and there are spots of fingerprints on the glass. How do I clean the glass, and how do I clean the cover, to prevent the glass from getting dirty all over again?

Thanks.

Heck, I used Windex and paper towel on mine. I bet a lot of folks would use lens cleaners and microfibers cloths but mine works fine with the Windex.

I use windex and a soft cloth on my glass bed. JUST don't spray directly on the glass as you might get liquid where it should not go. Spray the cloth and then wipe the glass.--Rene

Okay, now I'm a stupid Belgian, and I have no clue what Windex is. Is that a special liquid to clean glass without stripes? If yes, then I know what you mean, and I thank both of you for your advice.

Windex is just a spray glass cleaner
