Minimalism in January

Post Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:16 am

We had a discussion about the January Challenge. Flash or Minimalism? Let's hope this is not a competion. PBase is supposed to be fun. To have the possibility to learn from other photographers. I want to learn about minimalism.
Here is my first.

I've been thinking about this and find it a challenging theme. Not something I've tried before and after the rich diet of two themes in December a minimalist approach in January could set me thinking anew.I'll upload and post soon.

I don't think I'll be able to be minimalistic for a whole month, we'll see.

My walk by the sea yesteday cleared my head and just as I got back to my car I saw this and thought it fitted my developing understanding of minimalism:

I will do my best to participate. It was very difficult for me to do in December because of the many activities connected with the holidays. I hope January will be better and that I can also keep up with the comments.

Best Wishes and a very Happy New Year!

Minimalism is a challenging thought, but I'll give it some playful, serious thought.

Haven't decided yet whether to go for minimalist, flash, some other theme, or no theme at all this month... So keeping my options open!

I think this is fairly minimalist:

(My theme last month was fairly minimalist, which makes me wonder whether I want to do it this month..)

I'm still working on the minimalist idea. Here is my first effort. Thanks for the challenge!

Happy New Years everyone,
Thought I'd join this minimalism theme this month in hopes that it will get me outside more.

Here's my first one:

I think this may be a difficult theme to execute each day, but I'll do my best.
If anything, it'll force me to look at my world a bit differently, so that's not all bad.

Anyway, wish each and everyone of you all the very best for a healthy and happy 2009.
