Ships and Vessels

They have been around about as long as we have and they still are the only way to move large quantities around the planet. Give us a few examples of any size of these amzing objects which displace water and defy gravity.

Here, a Liquified Petroleum Gas carrier, the Norgas Traveller, arrives at the Port of Houston.

Actually, they do. A ship's design determines a balancing act in which the vessel floats, thereby offsetting gravity. Try working with me with the metaphor.

Here's an oldie but a goodie, Point Vigour in Halifax Harbour near the Hotel Nova Scotian in 1984....
