Interesting that I'm usually quite color-centric, yet several monotone submissions really captured my attention. Maybe something to learn here!
Really difficult to thin it down to the few permitted -- I regret not giving recognition to a number of submissions here. The following Honorable Mentions consistently rose to the top as I was comparing, considering, and analyzing (in no particular order):
Walter's Silver Man was my favorite image of a street performer.
Yaron did a good job of capturing the mood with this drummer in action.
Ken has done an impressive job of capturing a good, clear shot of this performing trio.
Peter's perspective and treatment of this live performance image intrigues me.
Robin has captured this moment during what promises to be a lively and entertaining performance.
Third place:
I really enjoy Marcel's classic portrait of the quintessential New Orleans jazz artist.
Second place:
A hearty nod to Walter's capture of this colorful and delightful dancer fully engaged in her performance.
First place:
With this image, Enrico has done a great job technically of capturing and presenting this scene, and also effectively draws the viewer into the raw emotion of the performance.
Nicely done, Enrico!
