I just sent a message. Hopefully she is ok and will get to picking out her favorites.

Seems to be the fate of pbase....Do you know her private email? She has not posted any new images for quite some time. I wonder if something is wrong with her, accident, illness etc.
Hope not. Sad to see pbase fade away...lots of apathy.

I emailed Emily this morning advising her of the situation.
I will post here when I hear back from her.

Re: S&T competitions: a suggestion?

In the interests of moving this along and getting us back on track, perhaps we could suggest an alternative in the current unprecedented situation? For example, we could ask the second place winner from the 393rd, kade (http://www.pbase.com/kade/profile), to judge the entries on the 394th, and pick a winner, so we can move on? I am guessing we would need to ask Emily to transfer the selection button, or whatever. Others may have suggestions as well?

I suggested this to Emily in my email on March 21, but she has not answered yet. The competition needs to be automated otherwise it gets messy. (See 374th Competition http://form.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=48047)

Do whatever you like. I am losing interest.

Walter

I am getting the feeling that the PBase administration has lost interest in running PBase. Would love to see it get a bit more current & competitive with other photo hosting sites.
This is a business though I feel not being run as one...just keep the old timers and money flowing in and forget about growing it....

I have sent a follow up message to Emily to Walter's nmessage, asking her to help us as described above and keep this automated. Asked her to post here, or reply to me, when done. Will advise...

Doesn't look like anything's happening. :( Seems we have to wait until Emily resets everything :(

Hello Everybody,

I have set up the Show & Tell system to allow Karin Doeling (kade) to judge the 394th competition. I have sent her an email. I will keep a watch on the forum to make sure things get rolling again. As always, email me if there are any problems.

Happy snapping!
Emily
