Help on picking photos

It's a common occurance that when there's a competition I have more than 3 pictures that meet the criteria.

I always wonder if I'd picked a different set of 3 images I'd do better. So I'm asking all you uber good photographers to tell me which ones you think i should have chosen for the 3 forms a set contest.

I picked the first 3 pictures shown here; and I know the last one, with the Cormorant swallowing the fish while the Pelican tries to eat the Cormorant, may not fit in the topic but it is a set of 3 that forms the subject

Hi, Trinko. Speaking as one who has yet to place in anybody's competition, I like best the three birds flying against a blank, dusky orange sky. It's startling and very abstract. Also, it's not just a row of three images; there's a lot more going on. Hope this is helpful. Sylvester (John Medlin)
