Congratulations to all you pbasers who submitted images in this last contest. All were quite exceptional. I had an agonizing, although pleasant, time in choosing the winners. I was amazed at all the various types of work performed around the world. Here are my choices:

HONORABLE MENTIONS

By Gill Kopy

By Ken Zaret

By Lawrence Ang

By jean louis brillet

By Erich Mangl

By Andrzej ¯muda

THIRDPLACE

Ehud Melamed's image dramatically shows the grueling work these women perform. And we can see they are cheerful.

SECOND PLACE

Vince gives us a wonderful environmental portrait of a pancake maker

FIRST PLACE

Lawrence Ang captures in dramatic fashion a beautiful portrait of a garment worker or laundry person. The strong half light and dramatic shadow create a powerful image.

Lawrence, you have the privilege of hosting the next contest

Congrats to all the other photographers who made it to the list. Thanks very much for selecting one of my images as the winner, and another image in the top 10 as well, Robin. This has come as a huge surprise.
