This is my second time shooting fireworks.

From the California State Fair in Sacramento. I tried the technique of a long exposure and then block the lens with something black until each fireworks burst. This way you should have many different fireworks bursts on each photo, but I had poor results. This was my best result at only a 4 second exposure with three bursts.

I gave up and went to shorter exposures. This is 1/2 second.

From a hill off of Canal Trail, Pleasant Hill, CA
Must have been 200 people who enjoyed the show...the adults seem to enjoy the fireworks more than the kids.
