Sculptures & my garden photographed with a Fuji Finepix

All pics taken with a Fuji Finepix S304 (3800), costed me around 400 euro's. Now I'm thinking of upgrading to the Canon D300.
That would give me higher resolution, changeable lenses, ...
I'm not sure the benefits over the Fuji will justify the (relatively) much higher price (1299 euro).
