Fireworks photos:Tips and advice wanted

Can anyone help me with some helpful tips on good technique for capturing displays?

Use a low ISO, tripod and remote shutter release. Try captures between 1.5 and 4 secs or so. Try to get the town or buildings as a fore or backdrop. Here are about a hundred shots from this past fourth. My location was to close to include much other than the canopies and launches. The grand finale you made need a nd filter cuz it is substantially brighter than the rest of the display usually.

Nicksie, they turned out great! I especially like c.1 with the purple wiggly streaks...wow!
