Hum, lets think a second.
Increasing the table width doesn't affect it's height. So, you'll need to add a couple of breaks, or empty paragraphs between the slide & banner for breathing room. Simple enough for the last question. Now....
I'm not sure whats going on at the moment, but I'm having pages load very slow for awhile, then all seems well. So they might working on things which is causing part of the problem. For some reason, I can't duplicate the "click thumbnails to enlarge" within my galleries, regardless of what sheet I use. And, I can't view it in yours, and last look the thumbs are gone again. Enough to drive a person buggers, no doubt!
Here's what I suggest, since it's showing up for you at times:
1. Using Firefox, view the page and click the "Information" link in the web dev bar.
2. Go down in the drop down menu and look for "Display ID & Class Details", and click it.
This will show you the labels used for every section/link on the page. Look at the link and note it's identification. Then look at the Pbase CSS (not what you've added on top of it) for the named area. Copy, and paste it here.
Most times you'll find something like:
- Code: Select all
#slideshow_title
{
display:inline;
Whats done then, is to add the same code into your new CSS but changing the "display" to none (for example), or similar altering. It's not difficult, I just can't see it! I'll try to recall myself, but so far I can't remember squat. Sometimes it the easiest things that seem a problem.
Lately, yes... if you're redirecting to here, you should be able to use masking to keep the url as your domain name. Just thought I'd mention it since you'd said you were redirecting. No problem.
EDIT:
Sorry, didn't catch this sooner, I Think I see what going on now!
You've modified the "Luis" style sheet CSS, and then adding additional tables on top of the ones in the CSS. Wish I'd caught it before hand, I thought you were just adding code to a standard sheet. You might need to make a different sheet for your "Root" gallery and one for all the other galleries because the basic PBase coding varies.
For the root gallery, I'm guessing now...
It looks like you've added a "links" table, but I can't remove it with my editor, since I can't see the actual code. So, copy it for backup and then remove all the code in the description area. Then, copy and paste this as a replacement:
- Code: Select all
<center><img src="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy/image/103275370/original.jpg"> </center>
<br><br><br><br>
<center><table border="0" cellspacing="4" width="70%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><a href="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy"><font color="#186829"><center><strong>:: Home ::</strong></center></font>
</a></td><td><a href="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy/portraits"><font color="#186829"><center><strong>:: Portraits ::</strong></center></font>
</a></td><td><a href="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy/pets"><font color="#186829"><center><strong>:: Pets ::</strong><center></font>
</a></td><td><a href="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy/prints"><font color="#186829"><center><strong>:: Prints ::</strong></center></font>
</a></td><td><a href="http://www.pbase.com/franpurdy/client_area"><font color="#186829"><center><strong>:: Client Area ::</strong></center></font></a> </td></tr>
</tbody></table></center>
<br><br><br>
<center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="80%">
<tbody><tr>
<td align="left" valign="top" width="400">
SLIDESHOW(prints, size=medium, delay=3, loop=yes)
</td>
<td align="right" valign="top" width="600"><b>
<br><br><p align="left"> Photography has always been my passion. I was fortunate enough to study photography full time back in the 80's, before digital cameras were even dreamt of, and learnt how to develop photographs using smelly chemicals in dark rooms!</p>
<p align="left">These days I use a Nikon D300, and process my images using Photoshop, but the thrill is still the same. Last year I was a finalist in The Daily Telegraph's 'Our Lives' photography competition, selected from over 50,000 entrants. This year I've been awarded membership of the Royal Photographic Society, and have made my mother proud by putting letters after my name (even if she doesn't know what they stand for!)</p>
<p align="left">I am now taking bookings for human and pet portraits, and commissions for any other genre of photography; be it food, fashion or the occasional wedding.</p>

Next, you might want to remove the Luis section from your CSS for the Root Gallery, as below, but check to see if it works first:
This would be what you'd remove in your CSS if need be:
- Code: Select all
}
TABLE.luis {
BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP: 0px; MARGIN-TOP: 0px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0px;
FONT: 12px verdana, arial, sans-serif; BORDER-LEFT: 0px;
COLOR: #186829; BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px
Again, copy for backup just in case.
Lastly (until we see how this goes anyway) If you want the green color to display in the text are, you can click "verbalize" in the CSS and change the blue# to the same green, or something close.
I still haven't been able to get the troublesome link to display so I can find it. So, if you see it again, find it's ID.
I'm done for the night.
Hope this helps, and since it's using html instead of depending on CSS, it should be editable to work in root & galleries too. You can move the links above or below either section, since it's all broken into separate code.
