I have created an export plugin for lightroom that allows you to upload photos to pbase.
Its pretty basic at the moment - you can either upload to an existing gallery or create a new one. In the future I hope to add more features.
It can be downloaded from
http://www.tinderboxdesign.com/pbasic/Any comments, suggestions or bugs please let me know
Cheers,
Ross

Nice work, though I don't use Lightroom myself. How bad was the 'screen' scrapping?

With this one it is so basic not much screen scraping was required. Just a few things to check if logged in etc.
Actually over a year ago I 70% finished a windows program that allows you to view galleries and photos, upload pictures using drag and drop, delete galleries and photos etc. It took a lot of screen scraping and mucking around but then i thought whats the point, because I thought pbase would probably add this stuff to their website them selves... i.e. why have a pc program to do it... but pbase hasn't changed much so i might finish it off if anyone is interested... i can send you a prototype version in a few days if you would like to play around with it.

I don't use Windows that much either but if you are looking for a beta tester, I could help.
BTW hope you know that PBase provides an XML listing of the galleries in an account
http://www.pbase.com/client?view=galleries I use it in PBaseUpload
http://srijith.net/codes/pbaseupload/PB ... 0_6_pl.txtSadly that seem to be the only thing they have given us "hackers" to play with.

Sounds very interesting. I am a big Windows user, I use MAC too but definitely a windows fan. I'd be glad to test it out too.

It says:
"The requested URL /pbasic/ was not found on this server."
Is the web page off line?

The link is pointing to a local file, instead of to the file on the server: file:///C:/Users/geometrikal/Documents/Web/PBasic/files/PBasic-20080706-v1r0.zip
Can you please correct this? I would like to try your plug-in if you don't mind.
thanks,
Sasha

I just installed it and it works like a charm! Since it doesn't support a new gallery creation under an existing gallery, I had to move it manually, but that was a not a problem (may be a future enchancment?)
Great job and thanks for sharing,
Sasha

Fantastic!!!
Thank you very much for that Plug-in. Uploading is very fast!
One little bug I noticed is when you show the EXIF data below the photo, it shows like this:
¹â„₅₀₀ sec at f / 3.2 at 73 mm full exif
The exposure time is showing as weird characters.

oh that is no good. what was the correct EXIF data?
This happens because to update the photo title, I have to write all the data shown on the typical PBase edit image page. So I have to try to create the correct EXIF data from the lightroom data. I will try to recreate the problem.
On a side note, if and when the PBase developers implement an API (this would not be hard) then we all could have third party programs of the same level as those that exist for Flickr, Smugmug etc.
