If anyone uses Opanda...an EXIF "right click" viewer (and free) it will show the GPS info and take you right to the place on a map. It's totally cool..and it's a great EXIF viewer also.
Just to bump this up the list again, I've started geotagging my photos (using a TrackStick Super for the GPS data) and am re-coding my other sites to deal with it.
It would be very useful if PBase supported GeoTagging too - any update on when this will be available? It shouldn't be too difficult to extract the info from the exif and simply pass it to (eg) google maps, if not google earth.
Glad to see the continuing support for this. They did say, way back at the start (May, '07), that they were working on it.
I have noticed that, for a geotagged image, the lat/long from the EXIF data is carried into Pbase in the 'original' version, such as this - http://www.pbase.com/nolock/image/93528742 - but isn't found in the smaller versions - large, etc.
Is there a way to display a conglomerate map of everyone's maps? Is there a way to publish my map so that others can find it? Is there a way for me to find other people's maps?
i have figured out how to geo-tag my images in pbase, but now how do you link this to Google Earth? In other words, how can people using Google Earth find my pictures?
