Slug - Profile Portrait issue

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I was moving some images around and discovered that if the "portrait" image used in the profile page is a "publicly viewable image", but is located in a "private gallery", if a user opens up the portrait and clicks on it to close the image, they are taken from the profile page and placed right into the private gallery. Certainly this can be solved by not placing the portrait image in a private gallery in the first place, but it seems like something people should be aware of if they want to keep their private gallery private.
