I read the article on jpeg and Photoshop 7. I have changed all images but now, I wonder if they have been "lost" in the search feature. Do they now have a different id# ? Thanks

I'm quiet sure they have a different ID since they are new uploads (files)! If you used links to your older pictures, they are certainly broken now. That's the way it is!

Its a bit late to help you now but on the edit image page there is an option of replace image. This will leave the comments and hits intact.

Thanks for both replies. I didn't think of it until after I'd finished. Good reminder to anyone else making those changes.
