What browser are you using?
Try adding pbase.com to the compatibility view settings if you are using IE.
Also, try logging in using an in-private session which will negate any cache or cookies.

Thanks for responding. I could delete a few pictures at a time but not all those in a gallery - very frustrating. I switched from Chrome to Firefox and though slow that worked. I have deleted most of my galleries and am looking for another hosting site.
