After several days of being down, my Statistics page is back up and running! Not only that, but the daily links are working again, something that has not worked for a long time. Congratulations to the PBase team.

Apparently, what they did was change the link from stats.pbase.com to www.pbase.com/stats/[username]. The stats.pbase.com link had issues with authorization before that is why the daily links did not work and then the entire link stopped working. Since the pbase.com staff has decided not to share information about this and other things, we will likely never know what happened with stats.pbase.com. Personally, I think elves came in the night and changed the link. :)

Given what we've seen of customer service interactions the last two years, I think this is the best explanation -- Occam's Razor and all that good stuff!

Great news! Unfortunately the stats on "Aggregate daily page views" page, my profile page and my StatCounter page are always different and always have been.

I depend more on the Google stats, but even then I have to "remove" my IP from the mix and I have to update that rule often as my IP changes. So not sure what is the correct view of stats, but I think for me Google Analytics gives me more depth. However, the Pbase.com Google code is way outdated and thus that prevents some of the deeper analysis.
