Is background music an option in PBase? If not, wouldn't that be nice! :D If it is, can you tell me how?

would that not make the pages load even slower (for us in the stone ages that still have dial up with a slow connection).

Believe me, background music may sound cool in theory but it is just going to be a pain the in a*** when people encounters it. It will load slower, will jolt me up from my nice CD listening, will increase memory usage, all forcing me to abandon your gallery as soon as I can :)

The only time I would like background music would be to add some didgeridoo sounds on my gallery http://www.pbase.com/sheila/buskers_of_sydney

Its such a melancholic and emotional sound that I would like to share it with folks who have never heard the didge.

Cheers
Sheila

Sheila, maybe you can post a link where people can go and listen to the music if they want to.
I only post my travel pics or get together with friend where ever we go, like this past week, I went to the Aquarium, so with my pictures, I posted the site for the Aquarium, so people can look up more info about it if they want.

just an idea.

Now, why didn't I think of that! Thanks Rachel. I might investigate it.

I for one would love to hear some didgeridoo music, but would want the music at my convenience.

If background music was a popular option on Internet web pages, every site would do it.

A few tried some years ago, but the backlash was breathtaking.

There are very few people in this world that like others to ram their music down their throats.

In other words, what you or I may consider nice music to accompany our photographs, most will just be damn annoyed.

I have made some over here...

http://users.skynet.be/puppys/sounds/sounds.htm

Work with two frames, your PBase gallery will open in the secondframe, on the first frame you put some music.
