Thumbnails and Pics show a little "x" instead of p

I've been having problems sending these jpg files through hotmail because of their 2MB size- they would send but the receiver saw the little red x when when trying to download. The receiver only can receive them when I winzip&email the pic- but I can only send them one at a time with that method. So I signed up here so that I can share these photos except after minutes of uploading I get the same thing- a little red x and the picture title. I uploaded a couple of my 500kb jpg pics fine though. And I'm using road runner. Can someone help me?

There is about three threads on this the last couple hours. Pbase is experienceing some technical difficulties with some of the servers currently. Just chill out for a while, tune in tomorrow or something. Things should be up to speed again then.
