What does "Representative Image" mean under the Co

I'm new to PBase. What does "Representative Image" mean under the "Commands" title when viewing/editing the images in your gallery? When I click on "represent" it changed to "Representative Image".

It's the picture that will appear as the thumb for the whole gallery, by default the first picture also is used for the gallery but that can be changed using the representative image
