Mail System

I just went to my Profile page and noticed some mail. It was sent quite some time ago. As I usually do not go to the profile page, is there another way of being notified I have mail. Maybe sending a message to my regular e-mail?

Also, is the mail on the profile page different from the mail/message in the forum section? The mail I received on the profile page does not show up in the forum message area.

Can't answer the first question other than that it would be a nice feature to have. As for the second - yes mails in forum are different from that in the profile page. The PM system in the forum is a part of the phpBB software used. The one in the profile is (I guess) built by pbase team for the specific use in Pbase as a means of communiation between its members.
