Edting My Galleries

I was trying to delete some old galleries as they are no longer needed. I realise that you have to delete the images from the gallery first, but upon loading the gallery in edit mode, it stops and then restarts loading .

In other words I can't fully load the Gallery edit page (in several, not all galleries). Makes me wonder if there is corrupt data in the gallery, that I can not rectify . I have been able to successfully delete some of the galleries.

If I could just delete the Gallery without deleting images first, I think it would be job done. These Galleries are using my storage space
