Uploading Problems

Post Tue Oct 28, 2003 11:15 am

Have read a few other posts with people having the same problems.
I have turned off my Personal Firewall and Privacy settings. My files
are still not appearing consistantly. I have had three images go through and I am still within the trial conditions. I don't know whether its me or not. I would like to subscrible but until I get some consistancy with this uploading I am still sitting on the fence.
One other question what is the In Box ? . I am uploading to a named gallery and even when I upload to the In Box my files still dont appear.
Any help would be appreciated

I am seeing one gallery with three images
the swamp
Perth WA
Flower
they are in http://www.pbase.com/stdudley/canon_a80 titled first first photos

Is this what you have uploaded before?

Might be a cache issue also on you end?

Yes those are the files I uploaded before. I tried a few times last night to uploade some more but they just don't there. What do you mean by a cache issue at my end .

Thanks for responding

Well . Got it working. The trick is to wait, then wait some more and
then it gets there. I have ADSL but I must be impatient.
Thanks for your help

It sounds like you seeing a cache issue.

On your computer when you download(view) a webpage the information goes into a temp folder and if you go back to the page it will try to serve the old page to be faster instead of going to get the new page.

What browser are you using and I'll give you the step by step directions or you can search the forums on cache and get the directions and see other people experience the same problem.

In an extreme rare case the cache issue is upstream on your isp but this is the extremely rare case.

Let us know how it turns out
Bill
