Yippee! One more developer! Maybe there is a light at the end of this tunnel!

Great to see you guys churning out these improvements.
Keep up the good work!

Cheers

I just got this on Dom's gallery, but I had it elsewhere too.

I'm not sure why this would happen. What browser are you using and can you provide a direct link to a gallery that is having this problem?

Anyone else experiencing this?

I have Tiscali 10.0

Went back to Dom's page and voted another image and the feature thanked me....

I did some research on your browser and it appears to be proprietary software offered by your ISP. It is unclear if they are simply rebranding one of the "main" browsers (I.E., Mozilla, Opera, Konqueror) or if they built their own browser from scratch. If the latter, I reccomend switching to an alternative browser that is standards compliant. I personally use Firefox, but Opera or Internet Explorer will also get the job done.

However, if the problem is not recurring, then there may be no need to do anything at all :-)

Chris

P.S.
I tested the link you posted and the vote function appears to be working fine there.

I've noticed this. Sometimes when I vote for an image it works correctly, and 'vote for this image' turns into 'thanks for voting'. But on other images, the text just disappears when I click it.

I have enabled voting to my galleries but it does not show up on the gallery page. What can I do? http://www.pbase.com/rothhall

rothhall,
the link in your message goes to your main (root) gallery.
root galleries don't have a vote link because we felt it made more sense just to vote a specific gallery. usually a gallery is a presentation of some subject, while the root gallery is just a way of getting to these presentations.

I could see the vote links and vote on your other galleries though.

I'm not sure if anyone has discussed before, but can the vote count also be added to the new expanded statistics page?

I think many of us got it Charles, just maybe we just chose to ignore it because it seemed unnecessarily churlish as a welcome to a new member on the PBase team.

When an image page or gallery page loads, you have a set amount of time to click the vote button, or voting will expire. All you should have to do is click the vote link again or refresh the page and then vote again.

The reason behind this is to prevent people from generating the URL that triggers the vote and then posting it in forums to aquire votes from anyone who clicks the link.
