Hey Guys,

We have just upgraded the forums to the latest version of phpBB.
We also changed the stylesheet a bit to give posts a gray background, and put a black border on images that you post. We hope you like it.

Let us know if you are having any problems with the new version of the forums.

Thanks,
Emily

Good to see changes Emily!
I think we have an issue with Quotes. Not sure.

I´m testing the black border:

OK. It turns out that this quote bug is a problem in the latest version of phpBB. Right now, the only official "solution" is to disable HTML in the posts. So, HTML will no longer work in posts.
No functionality is lost since there is BBCode for all of the HTML tags that were allowed before.
Just note that if you typically use HTML in your posts, use the BBCode instead.

If you see any broken quotes still hanging around, post the URL, and I'll throw them a fix.

Thanks,
Emily

Just to let you know.

I use Firefox 1.0.7 and I still see the blue background and no black border around the photo.

Your browser is probably still using the old stylesheet. Try hitting shift + the refresh button on your browser while viewing the forums. That should force your browser to fetch the new version. Let me know how it goes.

Seems to me that the forums are not remembering which threads I have viewed. Of course that is most likely an issue with my browser, but prior to the forum upgrade threads that I visited would no longer appear as new. Now they remain as new.

Another little quirck is that when I first go to the forum, I have to refresh my browser or re-login for my login to register.

anybody else getting this? Sorry for not explaining it so clearly, coffee still hasn't settled into the bloodstream yet.

Same problem here, Charles. I've tried everything, deleted all the cookies, pressed the refresh button and the problem is still there. Sounds like a bug on the phbBB. Looks like Emily is currently looking into it. I'll say, let's wait and see.

Experiencing the not remembering threads that have been read. Also when I initially go to the FORUM, it used to show the option of View New Threads Since Last VIsit immediately. Now I have to push the FORUM button again to get that to show and then it seems to be appending threads and not removing any that I did RECENTLY view.

Sorry, difficulty to explain.--Rene
